Cream Cheese Alternatives

Instead of spreading cream cheese on your bagels, try Laughing Cow Light Swiss Cheese Wedges. Trust me, this is super delicious (read the review at Iateapie.net).

1 serving of Philadelphia Cream Cheese (1 ounce or 2 tablespoons) has 90 calories and 30% of the recommended daily amount for saturated fat. A serving of Laughing Cow Light Swiss Cheese Wedges (3/4 ounce) is just 35 calories.

Also, try the Philadelphia Light Cream Cheese. It tastes just as good (read the review) and has 60 calories and 13% of the RDA for saturated fat. More calories that Laughing Cow, but you can bake with it.

There is also a Fat Free version of Philadelphia Cream Cheese, but I can't vouch for the taste - anybody tried it please leave a comment and let us know what you thought.

FF cream cheese tastes HORRIBLE by itself, but it is awesome in recipes such as fat free cheesecake. It pretty much tastes great when it is added to something flavorful.

I love whipped cream cheese, it tastes like the full-fat version but has less fat and calories, and is super fluffy and easy to spread, which I love! By comparison, the low fat/fat free versions never taste as good.

Neufchatel cheese is my favorite go-to for a cream cheese spread. The fat free has a bizarre texture, but it does work well if you're melting it into something for a creamy depth.
